Speaker: Lucas Harrington, PhD

Working at the intersection of gene editing, reproductive medicine, and human genetics, Lucas Harrington received his PhD in the lab of Jennifer Doudna, who won the Nobel Prize for CRISPR technology in 2020. They cofounded Mammoth Biosciences, a next-generation gene-editing company that has raised >$500M to advance in vivo therapies for genetic diseases. He is now the cofounder of Preventive, a biotechnology company focused on rigorously evaluating next-generation editing technologies in early development, with the goal of preventing severe heritable disease by correcting it before birth.
